Zeytinyagli Fasulye (Green beans in olive oil)

1 pound fresh green beans
1 medium yellow onion
3 medium ripe tomatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon sweet red pepper paste
salt
  • Snap off the stem ends and pull off the tails of the green beans.
  • Peel, seed, and dice the tomatoes.
  • Peel and dice the onion.
  • Put vegetables, oil, red paper paste, and salt into a heavy pan over medium heat and toss it until all the ingredients mix well.
  • Cover, adjust the heat to maintain a slow simmer.
  • Cook until the beans are tender, about 45 minutes.
  • Serve at room temperature.
